Wonderful room. Overlooking market square. Staff were so accommodating for all needs. Delicious food. Friendly bar. Would recommend to all.
The hotel accommodation is very dated and tired, the female staff were very good, the less said about the male staff the better. The crowning moment was when we asked if we could order dinner and were promptly told that they couldn't take our order for at least an hour - far too busy! We promptly left and found a very good hotel down the road who were exceedingly happy to help us.
I stayed at The Saracens Head, for two lovely nights, arriving at the pub, you can immediately see the character of the property, set in a idilic country road in the centre of the town. Upon entry, you are met with very friendly locals enjoying a beverage, the staff behind the bar are very attentive and welcoming. Showing me to my room with an excellent view, of the bustling town centre. The owners were very welcoming and made my stay very comfortable. The room itself, is well cared for, ensuring all necessities are present, however the room was a quite dated, with a very small TV and no chair and located a little too far from the bed for complete comfort. Overall a lovely place to stay.
